Welcome to SixBySeven.net... Updated 15th Jun 2004
SixBySeven.net... an utterly insignificant little blue-green website far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the internet, whose ape-descended creator still thinks image rollovers are a pretty neat idea. Actually, though I'm a big fan of Douglas Adams' work, and the theme for this site was insipred by it, I'm probabaly not going to actually talk about that stuff much. Nope, I'm afraid what you've stumbled across is a common-or-garden weblog site. My weblog.
As those of you who've been here before might notice, I've done a bit of spring cleaning around this site. I've re-written the site in PHP and chucked away some of the old baggage I was never going to use or update (there are enough other lumber rooms in my life). So, what you will find here now is a quick outline of the main events and misfortunes in my life - no vacuous blogging, promise! You'll also find some longer articles (rants) which are purified distillations of my life experiences and no doubt well worth reading (!). Check out the Subjects on the left for different slices through the site.
About Me...
The famousest Dan of all...
Mmmmmmmmmm... cow pie...
Other famous Dans include Dr. Dan Streetmentioner, author of Time Traveler's Handbook of 1001 Tense Formations (of Hitchhikers Guide fame), HalfDan the Black, a King from Scandinavian legend, comically played by John Cleese in Erik the Viking; Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer Simpson; Blues Brother Dan Aykroyd (I play blues too); 'Dan - The Big Stubborn Dumb Guy assigned to a team with Dilbert'; Dan the Man (too many to mention); Dan Dan the Dustbin Man (incidentally, at one time, Desperate Dan used to smoke a dustbin full of rubbish through a drainpipe); and of course, Dan Dare... I will leave the perceptive reader to decide whether I share any virtues with each of these fine fellows. Of course, I'm not famous... yet.
About the Photo Album...
A collection of photos I've taken in various places over the years. My life story in pictures. Go to the index now, but be warned, though I've recently added support for thumbnail images, the main images are quite large to squeeze through a modem...
